Mediaprograms of migrant integration: dimension of history of Ukrainian radio broadcasting in Poland

The article presents the historical background of the formation of Ukrainian language radio broadcast content in Polish radio stations. The author presents a chronological sequence of the main stages of the history of Ukrainian radio broadcasting in Poland. The first Ukrainian-language radio programs broadcast in Polish radio stations began to appear in the middle of the last century. They were a response to the political challenges of our time. After the emergence of the Ukrainian socio-cultural society in 1956, Ukrainian-language radio programs appeared in Rzeszow, Szczecin, then in Koszalin, Olsztyn and Lublin. The next wave of Ukrainian-language radio programs in Poland began in the 1990s. The survey results also found out that Ukrainian radio broadcasting in Poland is much more developed than Polish radio broadcasting in Ukraine. The reason for this is insignificant funding of national minorities. Specific examples have demonstrated that the lack of information exchange creates stereotypes that affect the interaction of the two states negatively.
