The terms «corporate security» and «corporate culture» have been actively used in our country recently. In business circles, due to the high uncertainty in the conditions of functioning of Ukrainian enterprises, the need for theoretical developments related to ensuring corporate security is increasing.

The priority of solving the important problem of ensuring the corporate security of industrial enterprises stimulates the search for new directions. One of which can be considered as the development of corporate culture. Corporate culture exists in the conditions of any enterprise, from the moment of its creation to liquidation, whether it is given the necessary attention from the management system or it is formed spontaneously under the influence of internal and external factors.

The difference is that in carrying out purposeful actions for its formation and development, it plays the role of an important strategic tool for business development, the use of which not only contributes to the unification of all employees to achieve the goals, but also to the participants awareness of the importance of protecting their workplace and the enterprise as a whole as part of one’s own living space.

It has been justified that there is a necessity to interpret the corporate security of the enterprise as an activity aimed at achieving mutually agreed corporate interests by effective use of available resources and protection from the negative impact of threats, which makes it possible to create safe conditions for sustainable development of the enterprise.

It has been proved that corporate culture should be used as a strategic tool in the process of ensuring corporate security.

It has been substantiated that, from the point of view of ensuring corporate security, the corporate culture can be considered as a set of connections that provide, on the basis of the system of material and spiritual values, the coherence of interests of all interested internal and external participants, which forms the basis for their organizational unity in perception and meeting the goals of safe operation and development of the enterprise.

The structure of corporate culture (values; rules and norms of behavior; communications; microclimate; ethical code; traditions and symbols) has been defined and the influence of each element on the process of ensuring corporate security of the enterprise has been characterized.

Keywords: security, corporate security, corporation, corporate culture, interest, threat.
