Attention has been paid to the definition of «an electronic book» and «e-Manual». The basic functions of electronic educational editions have been defined. The article also describes the quality issues of the e-learning editions in the context of modern electronic media and it emphasizes the need of the editor’s intervention in the text content of the mentioned editions.
