Author, publisher, reader — the problem of cooperation in the digital epoch

The article is devoted to the analysis of the cooperative transformation of an author, an editor (publisher) and a reader, caused by the development of digital technologies and such phenomenon as Internet. The changes of their public and communicative roles, functions, principles of work, and also influence of these changes on the publishing process in general have been described. The features of a modern author, editor and reader and the role of the Internet in their communications have been demonstrated. The role of the author as an initiator of communication has been separately selected, influenced by all the changes first and fore-most, which predetermines further transformations of the other participants of the process..
