The article studies the major issues of cost management at publishing and printing companies. The structure of operating expenses for a publishing house and a publishing and printing company has been analyzed. Operating costs incurred to earn a net income of 1 UAH have been calculated and their influence on publishing and printing companies’ business has been studied. The authors determined basic ways to reduce production costs and selling expenses and examined main progressive methods of production management that may lead to a considerable cost reduction.
