In the article the peculiarities of the development of the national publishing and printing industry have been studied, where significant transformational processes are taking place, which affects the development and the resolution of national and territorial, and branch problems of regions.
The specificity of the investment attractiveness of the publishing and printing industry of Ukraine and its regions, the current state and strategies of development of management of publishing and printing enterprises have been highlighted. The research on the transformation of publishing and printing business resulting, that the manufacturing entrepreneurship in printing acquired the functions of service of publishing houses as in the world publishing practice, has been made. The opportunities of the leading enterprises of the region have been disclosed, and it has been established that among all models of development of publishing and printing companies the most perspective in terms of investments is the model where publishers have their own printing base.
