The article presents the results of the study of the appendix ‘Mass Theatre’, which was put in the newspaper ‘The Power’. It has been analyzed how the authors limited by the size of the article (its biggest size was 4 pages) reveled the theatrical topics. The aspects of the theatrical subject, mostly used by the authors, have been studied. The ideological impact upon the writing the main materials has been analyzed. The role of the amateur theatrical workshop in the development of the cultural life in the villages according to the views of the authors has been studied. The peculiarities of communication between the correspondents and the editors, in the same way as its role in developing the theatrical journalists have been analyzed.
