Current trends of the Indian media system

The systematic analysis of the Indian media environment is offered, paying attention to economic, political, legal, and social factors. Peculiarities of the country media environment are under consideration and the further perspectives of the Indian media system functioning are studied. The review of changes in the Indian media law is considered separately. The features of the media are studied through the prism of the specifics of ethnic, linguistic and cultural environment. The growth of the print media circulation is emphasized. The rapid increment of the newspaper and magazine business is underlined. It’s traced due to the increase of print media circulation. The Indian TV and radio activities have significant opportunities.
