This article discusses the possibility of using computer technology for children with visual impairments in remedial and learning process. This problem is important for development of inclusive education in Ukraine. The using of the regularities and features of the children visual apparatus allows increasing efficiency of diagnosis, the acceleration of data processing and prevents the appearance of secondary visual disturbances and reduces the risk of social collective disadaptation.
Scientists of the Ukrainian Academy of Printing have developed a computer complex information system with the «Screening Diagnosis of Visual Functions» authorized software that can be used during the specially organized diagnostic sessions and at home for effective diagnosis of visual functions of a child, with some visual impairment, and for the database storage of the received data and the ability to estimate the changes of functions of sight in time.
